Lights off at night?

I received this email from County Councillor Graham Plant which may be of interest to you.


Street lighting policy – introduction of part night lighting List of Parishes/Towns who would be affected by the proposal

Norfolk County Council will soon be considering whether to allow part night lighting to be introduced. This change would enable lights to be switched off from approximately midnight to 5am (or 1am to 6am during British Summer Time).

If this change is agreed, we expect to start introducing part night lighting across the county in the next few months. We are proposing to do this by fitting part night cells to some of the new lights being installed as part of the replacement programme or during planned maintenance. This would affect some, or all, of the lights in the areas listed below.
